The above is unquestionably true, but sadly ignored. Instead we live in a Wizard of Oz world in which we're ordered to "pay no attention to that man behind the curtain".
Another great piece Pandreco. I was unaware that France had been penalised for not meeting renewable targets while simultaneously keeping their neighbors partially renewable grids going.
Unfortunately the powers that be are not logical and are blinded by ideology. The transition to W&S supported by gas, which itself is a temporary transition to nuclear. In which case why not cut out the middleman? Imagine saving $1-3 Trillion over the last 10 yrs and applying it to nuclear! We’d be streets ahead. Am quite wistful; we were played and continue to be played
