This is the solution to the intermittency of wind and solar that the greenists have been praying for! Let slip the spigots of subsidy!

It’s right up there with that hare-brained scheme to capture the kinetic energy of cars travelling on a highway, except that they actually tried that one.

Don't laugh, if you signed up a prominent Democrat (i.e. Hollywood personality) as a figurehead, and submitted that proposal to the DOE/EPA under the Biden regime, virtual guarantee that you would get a cool $billion in funding.

After all if Stacey Abrams can get $2B for a startup to install 117 electrical appliances to replace gas appliances in some DEI approved homes, that project of yours would surely be a shoo-in.

The link in the post is to a real "academic" paper.... who to their credit do admit it might have issues with energy density and scaling... lol

You missed the most important point, that is incessantly repeated about wind/solar by the eco-bird-brains, it's FREE ENERGY!!! "It doesn't matter about the low energy density, high materials inputs and intermittency because it is free".

So right. I should have led with "Rain is free, and climate change is making it free-er.."
