Most traditional economists (and every loudmouth energy pundit) seems to be oblivious to the effect that the price of crude oil has a large impact on inflation.
I was going to add that The Tragedy was a Shakespearian epic but it is actually merely a pantomime with the audience shouting “ Behind you! Behind you!” and our naive hero doing their very best to look every which way but to turn and face the inevitable. The only difference with this allegory is that the adults are in the audience and the children on the stage.
