On treating climate change like a war - it may well be! The described "solutions" are an existential, apocalyptic threat that will destroy our lives through the loss of fossil fuels, a return to a lower state of energy, and mass deprivation.

It really is a war, just not the one it's sold as.

Lots of good observations. My concern is the wide range of destabilizing influences running concurrently in the West. Some of it may be coincidence, but some of its feels engineered, by external actors.

the linked podcast is well worth the time... discusses how "chaos" is a strategy.. explains why CCP has been boosting anti Israeli/semitic content etc. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hOMpnA-iMRg&t=1411s (its also on spotify etc)

That video is good thanks. Also this article by AHA is great. Most of my personal effort fighting the madness at the moment is directed pushing back on the local school board, and many of their policies that come out of the Yuri Bezmenov playbook (whether the school board realizes this or not is an open question). Its clear there are some characters employed with the bureaucracy level of the boards (i.e. unelected actors) who ARE genuine social/political radicals who in certain socio-cultural areas such as gender and SOGI are resolutely pushing destabilizing and chaos inducing policies, as related to Queer Theory (which has nothing to do with 'gay rights', but is literally designed to tear apart stable norms). They are even open about it in their literature and 'academic' papers. Its a big problem.

I don't know if you ever saw the 60s US sitcom called Get Smart (a spoof of 60s spy movies) but the two 'states' in perpetual conflict (and for whom the opposing spies worked) were called Control and Kaos. I only understood the meaning of a lot of the jokes later when I was older, but somehow it seems prescient now, the names anyway. Kaos is definitely on the rise.

Thanks, I will def check it out. Agree that sowing chaos is a strategy, for sure.

“If one wanted to sow chaos and weaken western democracies, the climate-change / net-zero playbook would be a powerful addition to the drugs, the social-media polarization and cyber attacks. Even if we don’t see “real” war, the geopolitical landscape is changing.”

Precisely. It is no coincidence so many of our young men aged 18-25 (fighting age) are crippled with disqualifying illnesses at record levels and, in extreme cases, are simply declaring themselves women. It is much easier disabling them that way than engaging them directly on a battlefield.

The green energy marketing push is no different and no less dangerous. My hope, and observation, is reality is catching up here. Clean energy assets have largely collapsed in western financial markets. And it’s becoming clear that tech will not be able to power AI data centers with “green” sources. The fossil fuel industry may find an ally, in time, in large tech firms that cannot afford to indulge the climate change fairytale any longer.
